چکیده

Abstract. Shadow can be casted by daylight or any other light sources. We will not get a clear and quality image if it's hovered the shadow. Shadows are frequently formed in high-resolution satellite imagery limitations of imaging environment presence high rise structures, this scenario is true especially metropolitan regions. one noteworthy evils remotely sensed which hinders precision information extraction change identification. To attenuate effects shadow resolution regarding their supplemental functions, our paper suggests novel algorithm for masking built on computational methods. Firstly we transformed images from RGB space to CIELCh model, next evaluated modified Specthem ratio, then used multilevel thresholding. also created masks areas having vegetation, water, soil. mask noise was decreased morphological techniques. The ratio lighting shadowed unshadowed utilized create masks, remove shadows source photos. thresholding approach creates an initial during detection step, filtering method incorrect vectorized raster data further applied various studies.

An Automatic Shadow Detection Method for VHR Remote Sensing Orthoimagery

The application potential of very high resolution (VHR) remote sensing imagery has been boosted by recent developments in the data acquisition and processing ability of aerial photogrammetry. However, shadows in images contribute to problems such as incomplete spectral information, lower intensity brightness, and fuzzy boundaries, which seriously affect the efficiency of the image interpretatio...

Shadow Detection Using Object Oriented Segmentation, Its Analysis And Removal From High Resolution Remote Sensing Images

Very high resolution satellite images available from satellites such as QuickBird, IKONOS etc are usually affected with shadows. These shadows reduces the information content of the images. In this paper, an object oriented shadow detection method is used to detect the shadows. In this method each object in the input image is extracted through a segmentation process. Suspected shadows are detec...

Semi-Automatic Selection of Ground Control Points for High Resolution Remote Sensing Data in Urban Areas

Geometrical accuracy of remote sensing data often is ensured by geometrical transforms based on Ground Control Points (GCPs). Manual selection of GCP is a time-consuming process, which requires some sort of automation. Therefore, the aim of this study is to present and evaluate methodology for easier, semi-automatic selection of ground control points for urban areas. Custom line scanning algori...

Automatic Building Damage Detection Method Using High-Resolution Remote Sensing Images and 3D GIS Model

In this paper, a novel approach of building damaged detection is proposed using high resolution remote sensing images and 3D GIS-Model data. Traditional building damage detection method considers to detect damaged building due to earthquake, but little attention has been paid to analyze various building damaged types(e.g., trivial damaged, severely damaged and totally collapsed.) Therefore, we ...
